Commissioner, John Cahill, from Albany was joined by Channel
13 last Thursday to promote Belleayre’s
new “Dot Nebel Trail” a 4000-foot-plus sculpted premier ‘double
black diamond’ trail with a 1000 foot vertical drop. Named
after Belleayre’s own Olympian, Dot was a pioneering woman
who designed Belleayre’s first trails back in 1949, and then
ran Belleayre’s ski school for many years. The trail begins
at Belleayre’s 3,429 foot summit- the highest ski able peak
in the Catskills.
